weekly blog update from meg gals!

Maria / MEG NYC:
Trees might be budding and Spring might have been here for 10 days already, but the sporadic sunny and over 40 degrees day ain't convincing me to put away my disheveled winter coat just yet! I still seem to be craving warm, cozy and homey surroundings to help shake the chill off my bones... so on a recent night, I trekked down to the subterranean Jimmy's #43 on 7th Street between 2nd and 3rd where the smokey aroma of different meats and roasting vegetables greeted me pleasantly and made me grateful rather than regretful for another wintery night. Don't wait until the leaves have fallen off the trees again to check it out if you haven't yet! They have an extensive selection of wines and brews, guaranteed to please even the pickiest of crews ;)

Elizabeth /  MEG BKN:
Sugar Sweet Sunshine is my absolute favorite NYC cupcake place! They are the perfect size, perfect ratio of cake to frosting and they have tons of yummy flavors! My favorite is their lemon cupcake because it is sweet and tangy, yet refreshing! An added bonus: they stay open late on the weekends so after you have been drinking you can wander over there and stuff your face till you see fit! Looking at their website just makes my mouth water! http://www.sugarsweetsunshine.com/

Christiana / MEG TO:
Hey toronto ladies. If your a jeans and t-shirt kinda gal like so many of us are but you also like a little edge....  check out this website that I stumbled upon the other day! http://rougeetnoir.bigcartel.com Its a girl from Mexico who hand-shreds each and every t-shirt on her site... so each one has its own character and personality. This is the website where you are going to find that piece that everyone wants to know where you got it from and you can just shrug and say..."oh this old thing? I've had it for years.."

BLOG T.O:
Toronto got a vist from Meg this past weekend and we are sad to see her go. She didn't leave us empty handed though. We have a ton of new spring stock. Yummy dresses in everything from mustard yellow to putty brown, comfy new tops and loads of sweet necklaces. We still have all our fall/winter items on sale and a special $20 rack.
Since the weather has been so kind to us the last few days we suggest coming on down so we can help you find some gems to enjoy the mild weather in.
Might as well a take a walk in the area and check out our new neighbors Dark horse ( http://www.darkhorseespresso.com/ ) .
It's a great lil' spot and the latte I had there this morning was delish.

see you next week!
