It is a chilly day in Toronto and it is grey again. Pump up on your omega oils and vitamins ladies till that sunshine visits us again in Toronto. One of my favorite ways to brighten up my day is to stop into Dark Horse Coffee http://www.darkhorseespresso.com/ and grab an Americano. I then secretly pop into Dlish cupcakes and purchase one of their red velvet coco cupcakes with cream cheese frosting http://www.dlishcupcakes.com/ and head over to the shop with a big happy evil grin on my face. Cheating on your diet is okay some times right?????

if you are looking for something cute to read and gander at while you drink your morning coffee....look no further than lostrecipesfound.com! the woman who runs it i have known my whole life and the cute little illustrations are done by my sister! its a great place to find a yummy new recipe to try or to just look at the beautiful photos...which makes me hungry just looking at them!

baking is one of my favorite things to do, especially late at night by myself so i can blast music and eat all the raw cookie dough i want! tonight i am planning on making cowboy cookies, which is just a traditional chocolate chip cookie recipe, but with oats, coconut, walnuts and dried cherries mixed in! they are the perfect snack for road trips, after a workout or while just strolling around the city! :)

If you are looking for a movie to see this weekend, I highly recommend the documentary "Blank City" by Celine Dahnier. It is the newest film showing rare footage of 70's film makers, artists and musicians in New York, as well as interviews with some of them today. It was one of the best films I have seen on this topic, as I believe it captured the rawness and essence of late 70's NYC living. If I could choose one decade to live in NYC, it would definitely be the 70's, as many of my favorite artists have come out of that era...my top favorite being marina abramovic (she has a documentary coming out soon!). check out the trailor here:http://www.blankcityfilm.com/
